Role Summary/Purpose - Internal

This person owns the project management and implementation process for GEHC Solutions, including sales order review; project planning, design/layout, contractor interface, submission of documentation; resource coordination and finally issues resolution.

Essential Responsibilities - Internal

This person is responsible for driving customer satisfaction and process productivity during the installation process by working with clients and GEHC employees to plan and execute projects on schedule and within budget including:
-Acting as the primary liaison between GE and the customer team to own and manage the implementation process for patient monitoring equipment, including sales order review; project planning, kick-off and documentation; resource scheduling and coordination for installation, design, training and GoLive; shipment scheduling; status meetings; system GoLive and project closeout
-Identifying, escalating and resolving issues, which might affect customer satisfaction and GE operational targets
- Working with the customer and GE LCT to develop a detailed implementation plan; establish guidelines, document project scope, confirm GE/customer responsibilities and obtain buy-in from all appropriate parties
- Utilizing various commercial and department-specific information systems, software applications, tools and templates to ensure consistency and quality of project delivery
- Leading and documenting kick-off, status and project closeout meetings and communicating regular status updates to the customer team and GE LCT
- Identifying, proposing, coordinating and/or participating in development of PM process improvements utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools

Qualifications/Requirements - Internal

-Candidate must be willing to live in New York or New Jersey.
-Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of project management experience, or an Associate’s degree and 5+ years of Project Management experience
-Minimum 2 years experience leading cross-functional teams
-Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple priorities to meet scheduled completion dates and customer expectations
-Ability to work with and communicate with diverse work partners
-Ability to work effectively from a remote home office location
-Ability to work with and influence team members to achieve mutual goals
- Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Applications
-Willingness to take a drug test
-Willingness to submit to a background investigation, including for example: verification of past employment, criminal history and educational background.
-Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
-Candidate must have a valid driver’s license

Desired Characteristics - Internal

- 5 years of project management experience, including long-term, multi-phase projects >$1M
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a customer-friendly manner
- Experience with large-scale project management where deadlines where met on or ahead of schedule; construction, IT or installations experience preferred;
- Knowledge/experience in the healthcare industry; knowledge of GE Healthcare patient monitoring products preferred
-Ability to work effectively in difficult and fast paced environment
-Demonstrated customer service experience working in a clinical environment
-Ability to multi-tasks and manage competing priorities
-Ability to provide constructive feedback to installation teams and contractors
-Formal coursework in project management
-Knowledge/experience with the healthcare industry and GEHC products
-Proficient in project Management Software such as MS Project
-Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
-Six Sigma certification and/or experience in Lean methodology

Position Overview:
This key leadership position will lead global R&D and Marketing in developing and implementing methodology and processes to assure customers feel the effectiveness of our use of statistical tools with respect to development of new products and processes. The objective is to meet /exceed customer expectations by focusing on designed in product quality and robust manufacturing processes through the use of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology and systems engineering. This position reports directly to our Chief Technology Officer.

Specific accountabilities include:
- Definition, implementation, and management of strategy to deliver "designed in quality" in all dimensions of new product, new application, and new manufacturing processes and commercialization measured by improved satisfaction of external and internal customers.
- Coordination and facilitation of the formation of systems and structures which will assure sustainability for "designed in quality". Creating a culture comfortable with the regular utilization of statistical methods.
- Integration and collaboration with Manufacturing and Marketing for implementation of new or redesigned business processes, methods, and tools.
- Development of metrics, dashboards, and mentoring projects.
- Oversight of education and awareness of statistical methods to ensure design in quality globally within R&D and Marketing. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with other business quality leaders to oversee within Technology the training and certification of Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma Black Belts and Green Belts.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Drive a culture of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) application, product and process development across the company. This will include use of statistics and advanced statistical modeling methods to excel at new product and other technical developments. Part of the process will be training, coaching, mentoring, developing tools and growing our infrastructure to support the efforts.
- Leadership to development teams in implementing the practices of integration, accurate translation, and prioritization of customer requirements and competitive benchmarking into the targeting and design of new products including conducting quality function deployment sessions with customers and suppliers.
- Understanding and coaching others on statistical approaches in complex and challenging data sets. An example is how to determine entitlement for existing manufacturing processes across sites and develop transfer functions for key parameters to end product quality / capacity / cost. This person will need to work with the Technology and Marketing teams to ensure a culture of planning ahead in order for experiments to be well thought out and executed efficiently with end data analysis predesigned into the runs.
- Introduce systems engineering practices to application, product, and process design.
- Longer term this position will work strategically with our sourcing and quality organizations to establish technical processes for supplier quality improvements
- Work closely with our Chief Technology Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, technical staff, marketing staff and cross functionally to recommend an organizational design for global statistical support and DFSS organization
Required Skills Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
- BS: Statistics, Math, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics- Advanced Degree in statistical methods, math or engineering
- 5+ years industrial experience applying statistical methods
- Involvement in industry statistical organizations
- Certified Six Sigma or DFSS Master Black Belt

Required Work Experience:
- Minimum five years leadership experience in quality, Six Sigma/DFSS, or systems engineering in a R&D environment.
- Expert in teaching the theory and practice of Six Sigma and DFSS and the use of statistics.
- Three years working experience with chemical process industry

Required Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to energize technical and commercial teams as well as all disciplines of the organization to drive Quality Process Improvement without having direct authority.

Do you enjoy woodworking and have a passion for providing top quality products? Are you an experienced engineer with a strong grasp of Lean manufacturing principles?

Our client is seeking a Production and Process Engineer (PPE) to work in their shop/showroom and assist with the engineering and production of stock and custom cabinets. This role will utilize Microvellum software to create and manage a library of standard cabinets and other products to output to shop for production and complete a library for design staff to use as sales tools. Responsible for applying Lean principles to manufacturing and design processes, this employee will be the lead process engineer for the shop and must perform engineering duties accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume atmosphere. The position also involves drafting and preparation of submittal packages in addition to engineering of custom casework and millwork. The PPE is also responsible for managing the production staff and must be a strong manager and leader, able to hold individuals accountable in all aspects of their job.
The ideal candidate must have the motivation to be a leader and a team player, and:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience (such as extensive AutoCAD or 3-D work)
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma
• Familiarity with AWI millwork/casework standards and CNC equipment operation
• AutoCAD experience is a necessity; extensive experience in Microvellum preferred
• Proficient leader in continuous improvement principles
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, discipline and attention to detail
• Possess a positive and collaborative attitude
• Skilled in MS Office products, including Access; Microvellum is an Access-based product and requires proficiency in Access and AutoCAD
